Relax me is like a soft, nourishing hug for the Liver. It is designed to take an edge off, to soothe the Heart, decrease feelings of overwhelm/anxiousness, and to allow us to re-open to life’s offerings. The herbs in the formula work together synergistically to Regulate, Cool and Soften the Liver, Calm the Spirit, Mildly Nourish and Invigorate the Blood, and to relax tightness and/or spasm.
White Peony Root/Bai Shao is the herb for softening and relaxing the Liver. It nourishes thus opens through it’s Blood nourishing properties. Ashwagandha and Peony work together to nourish the Blood. Skullcap aerial parts is used for its’ deeply relaxing, anxiiolytic properties. Skullcap Cools the Liver, Calms the Spirit and eases tension. Motherwort is used as a spirit calming, mild blood moving herb to help circulate and smooth the flow of blood as it is nourished by White Peony Root and Ashwagandha. Lemon Balm is a slightly cooling aromatic herb that Regulates Qi, while Calming and uplifting the Spirit. Gambir stem branch and twig is used to Settle the Yang and Clear Liver Heat. Rugose Rose Bud is added to regulate the blood but most importantly to remind the nervous system that there is beauty in the world despite it’s thorns. Chinese Licorice Root and rhizome harmonizes the formula and contributes to the formulas actions of soothing the Liver and stopping spasm.
