Kan to Offer Three New Products to both Practitioners and Consumers
- Herb Ingredients
For the first time in years, Kan happily announces new products. Three new formulas, all in extract form, are being introduced this month and are available for purchase now. And for the first time, consumers will be able to purchase just these new formulas. All three extracts are of course available to Kan's new and existing practitioner accounts, who will receive a discount after logging into their account or calling to place a phone order. At this time, all products are available in 1 oz. extract form, with other concentrated liquid extract sizes expected in time. For all three formulas, organic herbs have been sourced for all ingredient where possible.
Since Kan's founding in 1987, providing licensed healthcare practitioners with Chinese herbs they can trust has been our focus, and that remains the company's core mission. Kan's decision to offer these new products to both practitioners and consumers is based on a number of factors. The demand for herbal medicine is outpacing what is possible for acupuncturists and other practitioners to meet. In some areas, consumers cannot find an acupuncturist near them, so they are unable to access the medicine that could help them. Also, each new formula was chosen because it can be safely taken without the guidance of a health care professional. Lastly, rather than being driven by corporate greed or a desire to morph into a huge company, Kan simply needs more revenue to stay financially healthy and be able to provide high quality herbs to practitioners. Consumer sales will help that pursuit. Rising costs and the changing nature of the world of modern ecommerce make all of this possible and necessary. Kan's commitment to serving practitioners remains our primary focus.
As Kan's CEO, I welcome your input on this direct-to-consumer decision. We want to get this right, and we will, with your guidance and feedback. I welcome hearing how this affects you and your practice. We will price these formulas in a way that gives practitioners a healthy discount. Rather than costing you any office visits, we expect these sales to actually increase the interest patients will have in seeing a practitioner.
