Kan recently returned from the annual conference for the Florida State Oriental Medical Association, held in Orlando, FL. We loved connecting with so many acupuncturists, students and faculty who study and practice in Florida and beyond.
Thank you to all who stopped by the Kan booth. Kan's headquarters is in Santa Cruz, CA, where we make all 300 of our traditional and modern Chinese formulas right under our own roof. Flying to Orlando, along with samples, formula guides and all that it takes to pull off exhibiting at a conference, is a heavy lift, and it reminds us how large this country is. The time, energy and expense is worth it for Kan, as we benefit from hearing from practitioners who use Kan formulas every day, as well as connecting with anyone new to Kan.
We put our heads down and make quality formulas every day here at Kan, and while we talk to you regularly on the phone, in email and through online chatting, there's no replacement for direct face to face interaction. We are always energized by the stories we hear of how your patients' health, longevity and vitality are aided by Kan formulas.
“We're buoyed when we hear you gush about the quality of Kan's herbs, "they just work" you tell us and when I ask why you've used Kan for so long, I am deeply satisfied when I hear "I just trust Kan.”
Greg Pepping, CEO of Kan Herb Company
We also enjoy sharing what's new at Kan, such as how many of our formulas contain organic ingredients (even though we haven't updated our labels yet). We also love being in dialogue with you about how to make Kan even better in fulfilling our commitment: being the best partner we can, in every way, for all practitioners who want to use quality herbs in their practice.
Highlights from the conference this year include: signing up new practitioners and students, promoting our 25% in-conference discount and placing multiple order on-site, and of course, herbal bartending. Herbal bartending is an opportunity for conference attendees to taste the strength and quality of Kan's formulas. And, it's an opportunity to focus on you and what you need in the moment. While practitioners are usually in a care-taking mode, and at conferences you're in learning or perhaps networking mode, you also have your own personal needs.
Kan's lead herbalist, Darren Huckle, LAc, asks visitors to the Kan both "what are you feeling today? Would you like a kidney or spleen tonic, perhaps something to help you sleep, or do you need anything else?" We love supporting the needs of conference attendees, as it can be taxing, and yes, we're pleased that so many sample-tasters are impressed with how well the herb quality comes through as you taste the formula.
Also, here's a video of a demo we did at the Kan booth. Thanks for the FSOMA marketing team for prompting us to do this and for sharing it. It generated a lot of interest.
Thank you again for everyone who brightened our day by saying hello at Kan's booth. Kan's future conferences for this year include CSOMA in Oakland Sept. 26 & 27, AHVMA in Reno Sept. 27-29, and Pacific Symposium Nov. 1-3. Next year, we'll be at the ASA conference Washington, DC in the spring and then FSOMA again, Aug. , this time in Ft. Lauderdale, and we will be presenting as part of the herbal track of talks. We look forward to connecting in person!
