We are happy to announce that on June 1, 2024, Kan is updating the prices on all 1483 of our products, which includes price reductions as well as price increases. Increases in the costs for labor, utilities, packaging, lab testing, freight and raw materials all continue. Conversely, Kan has improved the efficiency at our facility in Santa Cruz, CA, and we continue to negotiate favorable pricing with vendors. The result is an updated set of prices that matches Kan's true costs for producing high quality herbal formulas you can trust.
Where we've reduced our costs to produce these formulas you rely on, we're passing those savings on to you. And when we have to recoup our costs, we're also hiking some prices as necessary. All new prices are indicated in this PDF price list and are also active here on the Kan website, effective today, June 1, 2024.
Part of passing on savings to practitioners and your patients includes making the challenging decision to stop producing formulas that sell in very low quantities. If we continue to make these formulas, Kan will lose too much on each batch, since there is a minimum cost to produce the smallest batch of either a tablet or a liquid extract. This price list indicates that for some formulas, we will offer just that tablet or the extract, rather than both forms. And for a few formulas, low sales or difficulty securing the raw herbs, necessitate discontinuing both the tablet and extract of the formula.
Kan wants to support the practitioners we're in partnership with by passing on our savings by lowering some of our prices.
