"We understand how price increases affect both practitioners and patients. This is a necessary move we make with reluctance, so we can ensure Kan has the financial stability to provide you with high quality formulas far into the future. Thank you from all of us here at Kan for your continued support during challenging economic times. As always, we welcome your input to factor into our final decisions on pricing."

The design of Cool the Blood (Qing Ying Tang) remains faithful to the intent of the original formula, which is to expel Heat invasions from the very deepest (Ying and Blood) layers to the most superficial (Wei and Qi) layers. By protecting the Yin, the formula rehydrates and mobilizes the Heat-desiccated Blood, allowing the body to cool itself, once more being able to circulate Blood to the exterior.

Cool the Blood contains most of the herbs used in the original formula, Qing Ying Tang, including Scrophularia root, raw Rehmannia root, Ophiopogon tuber, Honeysuckle flower, Forsythia fruit, Coptis rhizome and Lopatherum herb.

Honeysuckle flower, Forsythia fruit and Coptis rhizome expel Heat invasion from the Qi and Wei layers, Lopatherum herb helps cool the Heart Fire, relieving agitation, while Chinese salvia root and rhizome cools and mobilizes the Blood. Gardenia fruit clears Heat from the Heart and calms the Shen while Chinese red peony root cools and moves the Blood. Chinese rhubarb rhizome and root is added for its abilities to clear Heat from the Qi level and move stagnant Blood.

Finally, Scrophularia root and raw Rehmannia root clear Heat and protect the Yin; along with Ophiopogon tuber, raw Rehmannia root also has a potent nourishing effect on Yin.
